Support for untangling old beliefs and discovering your authentic self

No one should have to walk through pain without a compassionate witness, or feel the pressure to conform when they really need a safe space to breathe.

If you are someone who…

Is thoughtful, creative, and looking for freedom

Has been hurt by high-control environments, complicated relationships, or cultural expectations

Is processing the weight of religious trauma, purity culture, identity questions, relationship challenges, or simply the ache of feeling stuck...

What we offer you

  • Compassionate Therapy & Coaching

We specialize in supporting those impacted by religious trauma, purity culture, scrupulosity, and complex trauma — and we also welcome anyone navigating life transitions, identity shifts, grief, or the weight of old patterns.

  • Integrative Parts Work (IFS)

For those in faith deconstruction, exvangelical or ex-Mormon journeys, or anyone noticing inner conflict, parts work offers a gentle way of listening to yourself with compassion so you can move toward greater harmony and freedom.

About Us

We are therapists and coaches who know both the training of traditional therapy and the lived reality of leaving evangelical spaces ourselves. We don’t come with an agenda — only curiosity, compassion, and respect. We created Unraveling Free because we couldn’t find the kind of safe, grounded space we needed years ago, so we built it for others.

Testimonials

  • Finding a counselor who is able to really speak into your own experience is not easy. Casey has so much empathy for others, and passion for her work. She has helpful tools and insights in what feels like a very important but overlooked area of religious trauma and healing.

    M

  • Kendra is empathetic, wise, and most importantly, safe. She is a truly genuine soul; a well trained and effective therapist, but always aware of the importance of authentic human connection in a session. I highly recommend her if you’re looking to process trauma— especially religious trauma and the ways your faith beliefs may transition as a result.

    S

  • After a relationship that involved spiritual abuse, and eventually leaving Christianity, Casey was someone safe that I could always talk to. She was always kind and understanding, and it meant so much to have that, especially when a lot of the other people in my life didn’t understand.
